Audience Feedback.

To find out what people wanted to see in a music video, I created a poll on my blog and added the question 'What do you like to see when watching a music video?' I added the answers to which I thought were things that appeared a lot when watching music videos, and asked people on Facebook and Twitter to do it as this would get a good age range. This was because I have people my age on them and also have some adults.
After looking at the answers on this poll, it is clear that the main things that people like in a music video are a narrative and performance.

I then created a survey on Surveymonkey.com to ask questions again about what people would like to see in the music video I am going to create, but this time be more in depth. I am going to do this by asking specific questions about what should/shouldn't be in the video, and also refer to the song I am going to do so that they can answer the questions more easily.

I decided to post my survey from SurveyMonkey.com onto the social media sites that I have (Facebook and Twitter) as I thought that this would allow a larger audience and also would invite a wider age range, as the people I have on Facebook and the people that follow me on Twitter are different ages, and will also have different views on things and wil understand videos in different ways.

This is what i received from creating the survey and emailing it out to both media and non-media students and also from posting it on Facebook and Twitter;

I decided to do a presentation on the different answers i received from different questions in my survey;

These were the questions that had multiple choice answers, and I put them all into one presentation.

I put the answers I received onto a presentation and added notes to the sides to show what I thought about the answers, and which ones I will take into consideration when making my product and which ones i won't.

For my music video, I did a poll which I used to ask people what type of music video I should do. From doing this, I found that people wanted a narrative video so I thought through some ideas and put these on a survey on SurveyMonkey.com. As it can be seen above, the video that I am going to do is the first idea of a positive, happy narrative which I also thought would work best for the song. I think this idea would work the best because it promotes a happy message to an audience, which I think will, as the artist that will be singing my song is a new and upcoming one, be a good starting point to show her ideology within her first single.
