Filming on 15th February.

Today, I was on the Humber Bridge and thought it would be a good idea to take some quick videos that I need for my video. I am really happy with how they turned out but will only know if they are good quality and useful when I get back to college and am able to add them into my video.

Font ideas.

These are some of the fonts that I have used as testers for my ancillary texts, which I found on dafont.com. I did the same font for the name of my artist, and the name of the album, although I think that I am going to possibly have two different fonts on my product (with the artist's name being more of a basic font and the album title being a more handwritten-type font).  I am going to write the names of the fonts underneath each font so that I can refer back to this post.
Alice and The Wicked Monster
I think this font looks really nice but don't think it would be suitable for either of my products as it looks slightly child-like and think it looks like a font that would be found on a child's book.

Atelas
If I used this font, I think I would use it for the album title 'White Teeth Teens' as it looks handwritten which is one of the qualities I want, but also think it looks very professional in the style of it as it isn't overly curly or messy.

DJB I Love Me Some Aly
I'm not too sure about whether or not I like this font because of how it mixes upper and lower case letters together. This causes it to look unprofessional and this is something that I want to avoid when creating my ancillary texts.

Neoteric
For the artist's name to appear on the front of the album, I think this would be a really good choice due to how simple it is and how easy it is to read. I think this would then attract a wide audience because of the simplicity of the writing, although I'm a bit unsure of how the font uses all capital letters and not any lower case.

Pure Circles
This font isn't very easy to read because of how it is designed. The 'W' is especially difficult because it looks too similar to the letter 'U', so this isn't a font I intend to use.

SJB Constance Beauregard
I like this font except for the letter 'H' and the letter 'Y' because I think they look too long, and therefore gives the font an unprofessional quality.

Stink On The Death
I think that if I were to use this font, it would be for the title of the album and the single 'White Teeth Teens', because it has a handwritten quality about it and is easy to read. The letter 'J', however, is quite difficult to read and may cause it to be unrecognisable for some people so this is why I wouldn't use it for my artist's name.

Universal Mind
I think that this font is not suitable for my product, because it looks slightly confusing and overly edited with a picture in the text. but like the use of capitals for the artist's name as it makes it stand out and illustrates the importance of it. This may possibly generate a larger fan base of the artist because of more people knowing of the artist.

After looking at these fonts, I decided to look at the specific categories that were on the homepage for DaFont's website. This was very helpful as this allowed me to narrow down my search.

These are the new fonts I found by either looking through the categories or looking at the 'recently added fonts' section.

A Little Sunshine
I really love this font, and it is up to now one of my favourites for the artist's name because of the simplicity of it and how easy it is to read. This is essential for my product because it ensures potential buyers - and also fans - will see the product and be able to understand what the artist's name is. This will then possibly generate a larger fan base for the artist because of the amount of consumers buying the artist's merchandise.

Always In My Heart
I really like this font, but like it in the opposite way that I want to use the fonts and how I want the products to look. I think the way the artist's name (Chloe Jayde) is written looks really cool but I don't want the artist's name to be in a fancy style, I want it to be in a font that is really easy to read and therefore would make whoever sees it be able to search for the artist and know their name. This font makes the phrase 'White Teeth Teens' quite unrecognisable because the letter 'T' looks very similar to the letter 'J' which I want to avoid because I would want the album to do as well as it could.

Basic Title Font
I think this would work really well for the artist's name, because of how it is capitalised and quite bold. I really like how it is simple yet is still eye-catching, and would appeal to a wider audience than if the font was too complicated.

Bellerose
I also really love this font because of its simplicity and also because it is really bold and eye-catching. I would possibly use this font for the artist's name and although it is simple, it still looks quite fancy and professional rather than it looking like a Times New Roman font.

Birds Of Paradise
This font is too curly and confusing for my product, because again the letter 'T' looks too similar to the letter 'J' as is shown in the word 'Teeth' and 'Jayde'.

Dragon Is Coming
I like this font but think that it looks slightly lopsided, which makes the text look quite unprofessional. I also think that the letter 'C' in 'Chloe' looks slightly like the Coca Cola font so may be subject to some sort of copyright. This is something I wouldn't want to do because if it was a real product this would mean that Coca Cola could sue and therefore make the artist bankrupt without really even starting in the industry.

Drawing With Markers
Because this font looks like it has been handwritten, I think this gives it a really personal touch and would make the consumer feel more interacted with and that they have an almost signed copy of the album. This is the reason that I think I would possibly use this font for the artist's name on my product(s), as this would help boost sales.

Halo Handletter
This is also a font in which it looks like it has been handwritten, which again gives it a really personal touch. This font is curlier than the font above this one and although this is something that I wanted to avoid in the artist's name, I think it really works in this particular font as it still looks really professional.

Lemon/Milk
This font is really bold and therefore think this would be a really good choice for the font for the artist's name. I love how eye-catching this font is and this is essential for my products due to the artist I am creating being new, meaning that not many people will know of her so need to be able to remember her name.

Magic Bean Salade
After looking at what the font looks like for the words I need for my products, I have decided that I really don't like this font because it looks like it would be used for either a child's toy or for something in the western/country genre. It also reminds me of spaghetti hoops, so it doesn't reflect a professional product.

Waltograph
Although this font looks really nice, I wouldn't use this font for two reasons. Number 1, it may be confusing for some people as it is isn't easy to read. Number 2, it looks too similar to the font that Disney use and I wouldn't use it for the same reason that I thought about for the font 'Dragon Is Coming'.

Wolf In The City
I would possibly use this font for the album title 'White Teeth Teens' as it is really curly and looks really effective for the reasons I want. It is really eye-catching, bold and would appeal to lots of people because of how it looks. There are also 2 different versions of these fonts, which are shown below the originals. These are slightly different because the letters are placed closer together which looks slightly better than the other font because I think it looks tidier.
